As every year on March 20th, the Relais Desserts pastry chefs celebrate the Day of the Macaroon; an occasion to support a right and fair cause, via their exceptional know-how. Relais Desserts pastry chefs do not indeed only dedicate themselves to the love of good food! Sharing and solidarity are important values within the association and pastry chefs commit themselves against cystic fibrosis alongside the association “Vaincre la Mucovicidose“. Clients will be able to choose a macaroon of their choice against a donation… Let’s meet on March 19th and 20th in the boutiques of Relais Desserts pastry chefs for a good and delicious action!

Macaroons by Pierre Hermé, Japanese Garden collection with griotte, lemon and Tonka beans. True to his tradition of a partnership with artists, Pierre Hermé combines art and solidarity in this 11th edition by organising an auction sale of works of art in favour of the association against cystic fibrosis “Vaincre la Mucoviscidose”… The sale will take place beginning of September and will include works by J.-C. de Castelbajac, Soledad, Rodolphe Proverbio, Dana Wyse and Sabrina Transiskus. 2016 will also be placed under the sign of solidarity! Around the world, Pierre Hermé Paris will be supporting charitable organisations for children.

Maison Bellanger  has a special guest this year: a mystery macaroon to be offered to clients against a donation. The well-informed palates able to recognise its flavour will be given a second macaroon of their choice!

In New York, François Payard is also taking part in the Day of the Macaroon, playing the game of “a gift for a macaroon” in all of his boutiques of the Big Apple. Funds will be donated to City Harvest, a charity association collecting food for the poor. The Macaroon Day NYC will be celebrating its 7th edition this spring and a great number of New York pastry shops will be joining the event!

Like every year Maison Wittamer will offer delicious macaroons against a donation in its boutiques: fleur de sel caramel, Wittamer Grand Cru chocolate, peony, speculoos…

 

 

 

 

Roussel-fraise passion-Jour Macaron-16-Rzd

Christophe Roussel, in La Baule, offers his famous Tulameen raspberry macaroon, with fresh raspberry, on the occasion of the Day of the Macaroon. He will grab also the opportunity to launch a new strawberry/passion fruit flavour and to create a car sticker for the transportation of delicate cakes, the “Cakes on board” sticker. All of these sales will be donated to the association “Vaincre la Mucoviscidose”.

 

 

 

 

Once again this year, Thierry Mulhaupt organises training sessions in his workshop on the Day of the Macaroon, to teach how to make these best-sellers of French pastry. Part of the training fees will be donated to the association against cystic fibrosis “Vaincre la Mucoviscidose”.

 

 

Éric Vergne offers a special macaroon training course in his Audincourt boutique, half of the price being donated to the association “Vaincre la Mucoviscidose”! Only twelve seats are available, so it’s better to reserve in advance!

 

 

In the settings of A Partager, his new pastry workshop Luc Guillet and Julie Haubourdin organise a special training course on macaroons. 3 hours of training at a fee of € 70, € 16 of which being donated  to the association against cystic fibrosis “Vaincre la Mucoviscidose”. Volunteers from the association will also be present in the boutiques of Romans and Valence.

 

 

Of course, Sébastien Bouillet will offer a macaroon against a donation, and will take advantage of this beautiful day to unveil the flavours of his spring-summer macaroon collection.

 

 

This year, Vincent Guerlais of Nantes creates a special macaroon for this nice day: a vanilla, yuzu and raspberry macaroon conceived by Olivier Chupin, the amateur champion of the Amateur Macaroon Challenge in Nantes (which took place last November). The macaroon is presented in twos at a mouth watering price, all being donated to the association “Vaincre la Mucoviscidose”.
