This year, the new Association President, Vincent Guerlais wanted to give new impetus to the event by choosing a partner in sync with Relais Desserts’ values.
Naturally, he thought of the Association Zazakely Sambatra, presided by the photographer Stéphane de Bourgies and great friend of Pierre Hermé’s.
They decided to group the two associations and create a tie between the pleasure of the taste buds and the momentum of Madagascar’s youth.
Once the world and DNA of both associations RELAIS DESSERTS & ZAZAKELY SAMBATRA were known, their meeting and union became self-evident.
At the heart of their approach, a common guiding principle: PASSING DOWN knowledge and know-how.
Relais Desserts was built around exchanging and sharing. Members help and challenge each other in order to improve on the road to excellence and promote quality pastry.
Zazakely Sambatra works to provide Madagascar’s youth with an impetus for the necessary development of the country, through training, exchanging, community organizing, because together we go further.
From this acknowledgment the desire to work hand in hand was born to allow both associations the opportunity to carry a common message from the land of Madagascar to the boutiques of the Relais Desserts members on Macaroon’s Day.
